Rosalie grinned, winking at her. She picked up Renesmee and placed her on her hip. She then started making her way towards the kitchen, soon placing Renesmee down in her chair. She made her way toward the kitchen, placing mac and cheese into a bowl. She couldn’t help but look over at her worried. The thought of her little girl possibly being gone soon scared her and then thought of them finding her, scared her even more. She sighed lightly, and made her way back to where Nessie was and placed the bowl down in front of her, kissing her forehead.
❝ There you go, darling. I added in extra cheese this time, just the way you like it. ❞
A pout graced her porcelain face as she buried her face into the crook of her mother’s neck. The frigid warmth was soothing to her burning skin.
Seated comfortably in her seat, Renesmee swung her feet back and forth as she stole a glance at the world beyond their isolated home. The vast forest was covered in a thick sleet of snow, making it look like a winter wonderland. It was a land she did not have much knowledge about. Well-preserved and naïve were two words that described the hybrid perfectly.
❝ When is daddy going to be home, momma? ❞ Renesmee inquired with a mouth full of cheesy goodness.
